Optimal Vitamin D Test

Discover & Optimize Your Vitamin D Levels
Includes Lab Results Explanation Video From Dr. Cabral

Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones and teeth, and also helps keep your muscles, nerves, and immune system working properly. Unfortunately, Vitamin D deficiencies are very common. Adults are a high risk when they have limited sun exposure, insufficient intake from dietary sources, or impaired intestinal absorption. If you suffer from poor health due to low levels of Vitamin D, this test will identify potential deficiencies, so you can increase your intake and work toward strengthening your body's immunity, nervous system, and bone health.

Vitamin D Deficiency

What is Measured

Complete Vitamin D

Measures D2 and D3 levels and adds them together for a more complete view

The main role of vitamin D is to help regulate blood levels of calcium, phosphorus, as well as magnesium. Vitamin D is vital for the growth and health of bone; without it, bones would be soft, and unable to repair themselves normally. Vitamin D has also been shown to support other tissues as well as regulate the immune system.

+
Vitamin D2

Found in plant based foods like mushrooms, fortified foods, and as a dietary supplement

Vitamin D2 is the inactive form of D and is a fat-soluble vitamin that is naturally found in some plants and in fortified cereals and that helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus, which are important for building and keeping strong bones, and preventing bone disorders.

+
Vitamin D3

Found in animal-sourced foods like fish oil, eggs, and butter

Lasting longer in the body than D2, it is naturally found in animals and is produced by the skin when it's exposed to sunlight.
